We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days in advance.

2. Description of Service

Deskmate is an AI-powered platform that helps AP teachers generate rubrics, worksheets, and practice exams. The service uses artificial intelligence to create educational content aligned with College Board standards.

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should be reviewed by educators before use in a classroom setting. Deskmate is a tool to assist teachers, not replace professional judgment.

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use Deskmate. The service is designed for educators and educational institutions.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use Deskmate for lawful educational purposes only. You may not use the service to generate content that is harmful, discriminatory, or violates any applicable laws.

You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models. You may not use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download generated content.

5. Intellectual Property

Content you generate using Deskmate belongs to you. You retain full ownership of rubrics, worksheets, and exams created through the platform.

The Deskmate platform, including its AI models, user interface, branding, and documentation, is owned by Deskmate Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.

6. Payment & Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7. Limitation of Liability

Deskmate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free or suitable for any specific educational purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deskmate's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request a copy of your data within 30 days.
